About Rodney Baier, DDS
Since he graduated from dental school, Dr. Baier has kept himself at the forefront of advances in the field. He routinely participates in advanced training at several post-graduate facilities, including Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ, and The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL as well as numerous others. These programs are dedicated to providing dentists with the necessary tools for clinical excellence.
Dr. Baier was drawn to dentistry because of its profound impact on his life. Lifelong TMD issues encouraged him to pursue thousands of hours of advanced training. He treats every individual with empathy and provides our patients the highest level of care.
TMD Overview
Temporomandibular dysfunction, or temporomandibular joint disorder, occurs when one or both jaw joints on the sides of the face do not function properly. This condition may be caused by trauma to the jaw, dental misalignment, arthritis, bruxism, and other issues.
Many patients seek treatment for TMD after experiencing one or more symptoms: jaw pain or tenderness, headaches, earaches, facial pain, locking of the jaw, and difficulty chewing. These recurring symptoms can greatly impact your quality of life.
Treatment for TMD ranges from repairing a chipped tooth to replacing a missing tooth to wearing an occlusal appliance or balancing the bite. In severe cases, surgery may be necessary; however, this is rare. Dr. Baier will create a personalized treatment plan to help you find relief as soon as possible.

Treatment Overview
When you visit our office for a consultation, Dr. Baier will comprehensively assess your teeth, gums, jaws, and other orofacial structures. We will also take X-rays and scans to visualize underlying landmarks.
Dr. Baier will sit down and talk with you about your own personal oral health concerns and goals. We will create a plan tailored to your specific needs. Depending on the complexity of your environment, treatment may be completed in a single visit or multiple appointments. When a specialist consultation is necessary we have excellent relationships with many of the best specialists in Atlanta and throughout the country
